ShareholderJ. Christopher Kirk Shareholder Chris Kirk was born in Memphis, Tennessee on January 21, 1953. He attended Central High School in Memphis where he lettered in 3 sports and was active in several social clubs. In 1976, he received his B.S. in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Tennessee. Upon graduation, Chris joined Price Waterhouse and Co. as a Certified Public Accountant in the firm’s Memphis office. In 1979, Chris entered the University of Tennessee, College of Law, and graduated in December 1981 with honors. Chris began practicing law in 1982 with the law firm of McCampbell & Young, PC the predecessor to Young, Williams, Kirk & Stone, PC and became a shareholder in 1987. He is a member of the Tennessee and American Bar Associations and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Tennessee, The United States District Court of Tennessee, The U.S. Tax Court and The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. His primary practice areas are commercial finance, securities, corporate and real estate law. Chris is a Rule 31 Listed Mediator in the field of General Civil Mediation. Chris is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Tennessee. He was an adjunct professor for the University of Tennessee, College of Law from 1996-1998. Chris is an avid outdoor enthusiast who likes to hike, backpack and travel. He has hiked and trekked in Europe, Africa and Asia as well as many locations in the United States. He is a runner who has competed in several marathons and duathlons and also enjoys cycling and mountain biking. |
